The Chelyabinsk Tool Factory manufactures more than 1000 types of products for high-quality measurement of all types of threads, trouble-free operation of coupling systems of railway cars and other components, as well as measuring tools for all industries. In February 2017, our plant celebrated 75 years since its establishment!

CHIZ has gained a reputation as an international enterprise. Back in the days when import substitution was not a priority for the domestic industry, the products of our plant boldly competed with imported analogues. To this day, measuring and calibration tools produced under the CHIZ brand are a serious competitor to European manufacturers.

The history of the plant contains a considerable number of pages devoted to new developments, participation in major projects, the output of the company's products far beyond the borders of Russia - for the needs of more than 40 countries!

Today we continue the best traditions of Russian instrumentalists!

The plant has licenses for the manufacture and repair of measuring instruments, SI type approval certificates entered in the register of the State Standard of the Russian Federation, accreditation certificates for the right to verify and calibrate SI, a certificate of qualification as an approved supplier of calibers for monitoring threaded connections of pipes and couplings of the oil and gas range for TMK Group enterprises, diplomas of industrial exhibitions.

Our company is an active member:

• Technical Committee for Standardization TC 357 "Steel and cast iron pipes and cylinders";

• Of the PK7 Subcommittee "Threaded pipes of the oil range";

• Participates in the development and revision of GOST standards and standards on this topic. (Quality Service)

Individual work with customers

Flexible individual work with consumers on placing and fulfilling orders is carried out. We manufacture products according to customer drawings.

Development of the nomenclature

Over the past three years, our company has expanded the range of special tools produced. Examples are such types as: 

• The production of calibres for the control of pipe connections of the "Premium"class has been mastered;

• Templates for monitoring the parameters of the profile of beams and rails for the URBS of JSC "CHMK";

• Templates of the spring beam and trolley for the company "Locomotive" of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

• Templates for controlling the parameters of the automatic coupling during manufacturing;

• Device for measuring scratches and microcracks during fuselage repair on aircraft(S7);

• A device for monitoring the sphericity and diameter of ball fingers;

• Wall meter for measuring the wall thickness of a solid thick-walled pipe, with a measurement range of 0.00 mm. up to 25.00 mm., with an accuracy of 0.2 mm. and the ability to measure at a distance of up to 250 mm. from the end of the pipe.

History of the plant

In October 1941, the State Defense Committee decided to evacuate the first - born of the domestic instrument-making plant "Caliber" to the city of Chelyabinsk. The plant is located in an unfinished building of the Opera and Ballet Theater.

On February 21, 1942, by the Resolution of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR No. 22-122, the newly created plant was given the name State Union Chelyabinsk Plant of Measuring Instruments. Date of birth of the plant.

27.10.1958 In accordance with the order of the Chelyabinsk State Farm No. 152 of 01.10.1958 on the merger of the Weighing Plant into the Chelyabinsk Plant of Measuring Instruments. Pr. No. 761 of 27.10.1958.

On 10.06.1976, the Chelyabinsk Plant of Measuring Instruments was renamed into the Chelyabinsk Tool Plant Pr. No. 1 of 10.06.1976.

04.06.1986 The Chelyabinsk tool Plant was renamed into the Chelyabinsk Plant of measuring devices. Pr. No. 245 of 04.06.1986.

On 27.10.1992, the Chelyabinsk Plant of Measuring Devices was transformed into an open joint-stock company "Chelyabinsk Plant of Measuring Devices". The decision of the State Property Management Committee of the Chelyabinsk region.

On 02.11.1995, the open joint-stock company "Chelyabinsk Plant of Measuring Devices "was transformed into the open joint-stock company"Chelyabinsk Plant of Measuring Devices". Resolution of the Head of the Administration of the Central district of Chelyabinsk No. 1485-4 of 02.11.1995

The Limited Liability Company "Chelyabinsk Tool Plant" (LLC "CHEESE") was registered by the decree of the Head of the city of Chelyabinsk on June 23, 1997 No. 807-P. One of the main goals of the creation of LLC "CHIZ" is the preservation and development of tool production after the bankruptcy and liquidation of JSC "Chelyabinsk Plant of measuring devices". 23.04.2003 The Chelyabinsk Research and Design Institute of Measuring Instruments in Mechanical Engineering-CJSC "Cheliabniikontrol"appeared as part of the industrial holding.

On the eve of perestroika:

On February 21, 1982, the plant's staff celebrated its 40th anniversary. By the same date, the factory museum was opened, where samples of manufactured products, exhibits, stands and honorary books with advanced workers and veterans of production were placed.

On December 21, 1982, following the results of the All-Union competition, the plant's staff was awarded the passing Red Banner of the Ministry of Plant Industry and the Central Committee of the Trade Union of Machine-Building and Instrument-Making Workers.

The products of the Chelyabinsk Tool Factory are well known abroad: Bulgaria, Hungary, Vietnam, Korea, Mongolia, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Cuba, Afghanistan, Nigeria, England, Italy, Norway, France, Germany, Sweden, and there are more than 40 countries in total.

Since the beginning of 1985, the plant has been operating under the conditions of an economic experiment, when the strengthening of contractual supplies is achieved through the collective responsibility of all workshops, technical, economic and commercial services.
