Borovichi Refractory Plant

Joint-Stock Company "Borovichi Refractory Plant" is a modern, dynamic and steadily developing enterprise with a rich scientific and technical base and highly qualified personnel, supplying products not only to the Russian but also to the foreign market, possessing its own raw materials and energy resources. The quality of the products is recognized by all leading industries, including: metallurgy, oil, gas, cement, nuclear, construction and many others.

The history of the enterprise dates back to 1857, when the first refractory plant in Russia was created in the city of Borovichi based on clays from the Borovichi-Lyubytinsky deposit. Already in 1896, the plant's achievements in the field of quality were marked by a large gold medal and a diploma from the Paris Academy of Agriculture, Manufactures and Commerce. The refractory plant played an important role in the industrialization of the country, the construction of metallurgical giants, and in 1939 was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.

In 2007, the team received gratitude from the President of the country V.V. Putin for their great contribution to the development of domestic industry.

Following centuries-old traditions of quality, the plant was among the first in 1994 to begin voluntary certification of its products and has been working since then in accordance with the strict requirements of international ISO standards. Borovichi refractory workers were the first in Russia to master the production of proppants.

Product range includes over 50 items and more than 4000 standard sizes of products for various industries. The range of manufactured products includes the production of molded refractories, unmolded refractory materials, and ceramic proppants. The products of JSC "BKO" are used in strategically important sectors of the economy: metallurgy, mechanical engineering, construction of the oil and gas industry.

The main consumers of JSC BKO products are: PJSC Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works, PJSC Severstal, OK RUSAL, JSC EVRAZ ZSMK, JSC EVRAZ NTMK, JSC OEMK, MMC Norilsk Nickel, TMK Group of Companies, enterprises included in the CEMROS Group of Companies, PJSC Surgutneftegas, PJSC NOVATEK, NK Rosneft, PJSC Gazpromneft, JSC Irkutsk NK, Weatherford LLC, PJSC Mechel, PJSC MMK and many others.

The strategy for the successful development of the refractory plant consists of diversifying production activities, pursuing active investment and social policies, expanding the range and quality of manufactured products.
